Okay, April 1st. I Looked at My Calendar and There are NO ZOOM Calls? Really. Who's Taping Today's Show? If I Get in a Writing Groove, When You All Coming to Pull the Laptop from my Fingers?

If you talk to a K-12 teacher right now, they're likely to discuss the intensity and energy needed to sustain online platforms. If they're hybrid, it's even more confusing. And if you are bi-brid, teaching in-person while online, it's pretty much insanity.

If you talk to a college educator, you're likely to hear the same about classes, but also that everything has moved to ZOOM spaces: advising, meetings, interviewing, classes, collaborations, check-ins, updates, etc. I've been online most days from 7 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. - that's so I can fit everything in. I simply do it.

I ended last night at 9:30 and before I finally got to dinner, I said, "Let me check my calendar." I looked and there was ZERO, not one, ZOOM meetings scheduled for today. I know it is a holiday for the University, but usually weekends and holidays are when it's time to catch up with the work that normally can't get done. I still expected that there'd be six or seven calls. Nope. Nada.

Not a single one. Shhhhh. I don't want to jinx that. But it just might be true.

After yesterday, and another trip to the vets with Glamis...I'm just about spent. My sleep has been sporadic because of this, and I really need to work on projects that have not received my attention but are paramount on the radar.

Still, not one ZOOM expectation on this foolish day. It must be erroneous - there's no way it can be.

I know, I know. The sweating, capped guy above looks like Ron Freeman. Miss him tremendously. But this morning, I'm sort of tap-dancing across my floorboards.

No ZOOM.

Hip hip Hooray!

Okay, Now time for y'all to scream, "April fools."
