Actually, we were the set-up/take-down crew, the servers, and the male strippers. Well, we weren't asked to be strippers, but we would have if we were asked (shoot. Why weren't we asked?). We just took care of garbage and scooped vegetables onto plates before heading to Dominik's for a beer (that was our break).
Sean, the bartender, and his lady friend gave Leo permission to try on the armor. It was legal. So he did. Bev caught him.
Seriously, Kaitlyn is a beautiful human being and will make an incredible bride and Dominik has quickly become one of my favorite people to talk to. That, and Leo and Patrick were in the mix, so it made for a great afternoon of laying low, doing what we were told, and staying out of the way.
As for bridal showers. I don't get them - I will leave that for others to explain to me at a later date. It seems like a beautiful ritual and everyone seemed very happy to be amongst ladies only, an open bar, and lots and lots of food and presents. So much talking...lots and lots of talking (that echoes and vibrates against the walls and ceiling - can't hear one's thinking).Dang. I didn't get any cake. But I did get Pam's meatballs and some chicken marsala from Lassie's (so, so good)(great choice in catering)(servers get the goods, too).
Okay, Monday. It's time for miracles because there is much to finish for the last week of teachers, and there's also that Hendrick procedure lurking ahead - one week from today.
I can say when I returned from the six hour servitude-fest, I did get two hours of cleaning done at home. The house should be semi-decent for when Nikki and Cynderballz arrive. It's needed a good mopping and wipe down for a while now.
Congratulations, Kaitlyn. Can't wait for the September wedding.
Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful.
