Don't mind the dress socks with shorts, but I wanted to break in my new shoes. Yes, I did wear them for Stephanie and Patrick's wedding, but I want to wear them next weekend, too, so I thought, "Who minds dress shoes during everyday weekend beach occasions?" Apparently, no one.
This will be a week.
Everyday is booked from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., but Saturday will arrive the much anticipated wedding of Dominik and Kaitlyn, so I wanted to get my shoes in gear.
I don't think I will be up for too much dancing, but I am looking forward to Saturday's festivities - Jake at my house all day with Karal, the 2:30 wedding, and the reception to follow. I like my grey-suede shoes. Now, if I can find dress pants, a tie, a shirt, and a jacket to match the occasion.
I grilled steak tips, zucchini, and peppers, and stuffed them with red rice and spices for a spur-of-the-moment dinner with the soon-to-be-married coupled. I'm super excited for them, and hoping hoping (hoping) I'll feel up to it to dance, too.
It's a week and some change ahead. So much planning, thinking, worrying, partying, and celebrating all in anticipation of the occasion. I feel, without a doubt, that we have a natural match...a perfect couple, and a wonderful trajectory to applaud.
We just have to cross i's and dot t's ahead (the humor is intentional). Here's to the week ahead.
