The Home Office for the Upcoming School Year Presents Multiple Challenges, Including The Dog Who Thinks I'm Her Bed

I spent most of Sunday writing, that is, when I had space to work on the keyboard piano. Not only does Karal bark at me when she wants to go to bed, but she's taken to the same when she wants to nap during the day...

...on my lap.

This is me on office chair holding the dog as she zonks out. Obviously, there's not much I can do. Even reading was impossible, so I was glad when Chitunga returned from South Carolina. She definitely woke up for him. The incredible Beth and Dan are redoing their home in Devon and had a dining set they needed to remove; Tunga said, "I'm in," and so he, Dave Wooley, and I figured out a way to get it to Mt. Pleasant for now. Something tells me that I will keep this beautiful set and allow Tunga to have the one that is currently in my kitchen. We shall see. It is in the garage now, as I'm not going to be able to move it or rearrange until I am feeling much, much better.

And the rain. I love how the weather channels shows sunshine for most of the afternoon and evening, but all we have is rain, more rain, and even more rain. I guess that is the way these times work.

But, I'm thankful for friends, for dining room sets gifted, for Dave's mini-van and muscle with Chitunga, and for rearrangements once they come.

The dog, too. She's something...I keep asking her if she needs a pacifier or a bottle. I love cuddling up while watching t.v., but when working...that is something else. Bless her heart.

Let's get to work. Classes begin tomorrow.
